Fallout: New Vegas is a post apocalyptic role-playing video game developed by Obsidian Entertainment and published by Bethesda Softworks. While New Vegas is not a direct sequel, it uses the same engine and style as Fallout 3. It is the fourth major installment in the Fallout series (sixth. New crafting possibilities for the more low-tech weapon mods (mainly melee weapon mods). Some unique weapons without a common counterpart (for example That Gun and This Machine) receive one. New and altered art assets to visually depict most of the new weapon mods. Chance to find weapon mods in loot.

Expect to die a lot then with not seeing your health bar.:goodjob:Plus there's the inadequate damage indicator which I'm assuming is part of the HUD, the icon which pops up when you are using a weapon or ammunition which is not powerfull enough to break past your foes Damage Threshold. If that is the case I could see at least some people who have turned the HUD off only to find that they are emptying countless rounds into a foe only to be smeared across the landscape due to not actually doing any or enough damage by said foe doing their nut because they can't see that their attacks are ineffectual.Posts: 3319 Joined: Sun Aug 05, 2007 12:16 am. Imagine the annoyance.Haven't saved for a while.Autosaved only. Then after exiting a building you die from dehydration.Reload.Quickly open inventory. No drinkable items./rage????Profit!!!For you, it's an annoyance. For others, it's a challenge.

Remember to save often, remember to eat and drunk regularly, and try to get some shuteye whenever you can. Besides, I'm pretty sure dying from any of the hardcoe survival features takes a while. There will be a good long period in between when the game's cues will tell you that you are dangerously thirsty/hungry/tired and when you keel off. And before then there will likely be lesser tiers of hunger/thirst/exhaustion that merely reduce your stats a bit, but still serve as a warning that you should take better care of yourself. It wouldn't annoy me, I'd blame myself, not the game.

If you are smart about how you play getting killed by dehydration should never be a problem.Posts: 3471 Joined: Mon Oct 30, 2006 12:15 pm. I like to play without HUD, don't really need the crosshair cause I can pretty much tell where the shot is going to land. I'm fine with HUD, but I think the game is more challenging and realistic without it.

Fallout New Vegas One Hud

Y'know, if you want to check on your health during combat, you can either check your pip-boy stat page, or use VATS to check, it shows all the basic HUD, so it's like a tactical sort of pause. I like to do this.Besides, in real life, there's no crosshair.Posts: 3432 Joined: Sat Apr 14, 2007 11:34 pm.

Fallout New Vegas One Hud

One thing I didnt like in F3 was that I couldnt turn the hud off because the crosshair would also dissapear.since you can use iron sights in this, I plan on turning the hud completely off, it adds to immersion. This would also get rid of the quest compass, again better for immersion. We all remember finding our way to the puzzle box ruin in morrowind.since playing far cry 2, I just have to turn off the hud when it comes to FPS.Found my way to the Puzzle Box ruin?I still haven't found the damn place.Posts: 3368 Joined: Sun Dec 02, 2007 12:02 amDisplay posts from previous: Sort.
