HELP how do I get rid of all garry's mod addons and subscriptions? My friend was playing Garry's Mod on my computer and i think he subscribed to literally every garrys mod addon there is, so now it's always constantly updating and downloading more and there's so much $#!% installed that whenever I try to start the game it just crashes. As some of you might have experienced, after a certain amount of lua files in your addon directory (2048 if I'm right), your game will start with errors like: 1) Empty spawnlist 2) Unmounted games that refuse to be mounted 3) Maps not loading textures from mounted games 4) Addons not installing / not functioning And more. I have 600 addons because I stupidly decided to play some RP servers, now the packs are gone and im left with 600 addons. Im not gonna go.
Unsubscribed addons stack up in the folder without you knowing it!!! In this tutorial I show you how to remove those addons and game modes, as well as the server downloads that also take a lot of space. Steam Workshop does not delete these files, you got to do it manually like this.
